Location: Tomball, TX | Have a 4 foot short wall, 8 foot long wall, 7 foot wide 4 Star trailer dressing room. Put down 1/2 inch R-Matte3 foam board and added 3/4 inch sub-floor quality plywood on top. Did not use sleepers. In one day one of the two pieces of plywood has bowed up along the edge. How do I secure it? Tried drilling down through the floor but may not have had long enough screw (or the wrong size). Should I be screwing into the 12 inch on-center supports instead? Suggestions. Thanks. |

Location: western PA | I would not affix the flooring by drilling and fastening through the trailer's metal flooring. Remove the whole lot that is installed, add support under the flooring, fastening with polyurethane construction adhesive, and put the foam board between the sleepers. You can then screw the plywood flooring to the sleepers using decking fasteners.

Location: Tomball, TX | Thanks, Gard. After posting and sleeping on that thought I came to the same conclusion - after my two screws didn't work. Will caulk those wholes. Yes, I will follow your suggestion. Thank you. |

Location: Tomball, TX | Spent today gluing down 1x3s around the edges of the dressing room floor and placed 1x2s twelve inches on center across the width of the trailer. Replaced insulation between the 1x2s and put the plywood back. Will screw everything down tomorrow once the glue has completely set! Glad that's over. |
