I recently, finally, sold my large 3-h LQ trailer. I still have a 2-horse Merhow bumper pull with dressing room. It will be a while until i can get another (smaller) 2H LQ trailer so I will be tent camping for a while.

It would be wonderful to have an awning on the small trailer, wondering how much of a pita it would be to have that installed. I was going to get a pop-up canopy but think the awning would be nicer/easier - but have no idea what would be involved. Any comments?

Handyman level install....4 hours +/-
Read and follow instructions
$300.00-$500.00 +/- cost of awning vs. $200. for canopy
Awnings are nicer than the canopy for a lot of reasons.

If you have a Camping World around you, they usually run specials with 39.00 and 69.00 install fees which is way better than trying to do it yourself! We just had a 14' A&E awning installed down here on our trailer for about $650. or could have went fancy with a power awning for $1100.00 installed!

Exactly where on the wall to roof curve did they mount the awning track ? I'm about to add one to ours, and just can't make up my mind on where to attach it for max height, but also fit properly by the hay rack. Can you post a couple pics ? Thanks.
