Does anyone tow a gooseneck with half ton pickup? We have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab with active suspension and tow package. Have used it to pull 31 foot RV with no problem. Looking at a 3horse aluminum with empty trailer weight of 5080 lbs. Truck is rated to pull 7700 lbs (so yes, we will be bumping that ceiling.) Has anyone tried this?

Location: Vermont		An RV is NOT a horse trailer...and yes you'll be pushing the limit...in fact, when you are fully loaded you'll be over...

Location: NC		I wouldn't recommend that if the trailer empty is 5000lb and you figure 3 horses equal about 3000+/- plus all your tack, any feed or hay, water, clothes, passengers, plus any other extras you might take along. You will be beyond overloaded.
