Calling all mechanically gifted people! Need some help/advice. I have a new to me Sundowner (05) with a slide and it has developed a problem with the jack. After installing a new hood on the "electric over hydraulic" jack the slide now moves with the jack. It is a Equalizer jack and they at Equalizer have been helpful but we can't seem to find the problem. Everything worked fine until I forced the hood over the jack so now even with the hood off both work in unison. Anybody have an older model Equalizer Jack manual? Or have any ideas? All suggestions welcome!

That is a wiring issue. Take it back to whomever installed the jack.

I'm thinking when you forced the hood on it shifted the wiring on relay where he control for the slide and jack are making contact. Check for wires crossing from one terminal to another.

Thank you for your response but returning to the original installer would be a last resort as I am the second owner and hundreds of miles from it's point of installation.
