In July I am going to a ranch at Mora, MO from NE Texas. Mapquest shows a couple of routes, with straight up Hwy 65 the most direct. Or I could go up 259 to 71/49 and up then cut across west to Mora. I have been up 65 years ago pulling a bumper pull 2 horse slant. I would be pulling a 3 H 10ft short wall LQ. I know there are some twisty slower spots and some down shifts and hills, but I am thinking it is still a good road and plenty of places to stop, small cafe's etc. And like I said, it is the shortest and most direct. Any input from those that have traveled this area or live there? yes I know I would have to go through Branson, etc and have some tourist traffic. I will not be in a hurry though. Its about 500 miles and I plan to drive through in one day, both going and coming home. Thanks

Highway 65 north out of Little Rock is all good highway, you should have no issues at all pulling that way.  Branson traffic might be a little heavy but it is all good 4-lane in that area now so I see no problems there.

Thank you for the response. We went up a small portion of 65 recently in a SUV, up just above Leslie and cut across. I thought it would be good road all the way to Missouri. Mora is just south of Sedalia.
