Hi Everyone,I have a 1985 Cherokee 2 horse bumper pull trailer that I need to find butterfly vents for. The ones on the trailer are 8" in diameter. The ones that I have found by searching the internet and going to the ONLY HORSE Trailer company in Charlotte are 7 1/4" Is there anywhere that you guys can direct me for these parts?thank you.

Thanks for responding but the ones that etrailer has are too small. They are 7 1/4" The ones that I need are 8" in diameter. I spoke with them today and they stated that's the only size that they carry.

I contacted them and they are not the same Cherokee company that built my trailer and stated that they are not affiliated with them in any way nor have they ever put butterfly vents on their trailers. Who would have thought that trying to find something as simple as this would be this difficult.

Sounds like your next move is to get the smaller vents and have a welder/fabricator make them fit. Welcome to the land of owning an older trailer. I've got a jewel that's about the same age.

It should be an easy matter for a fabricator to make a trim ring to fit the 8" hole while using a slightly smaller vent.
