Can anyone comment on whether it is safe to use 3M Command strips on your LQ "softtouch" walls. I need to hang a light weight (less than 1 pound) cool LED light on a wall. Will it do any damage to the surface of the wall? Or do you have any other suggestions. Thanks!

I've used them to hang things in my trailer. As far as how it affects the soft touch walls I have no idea since I've never tried removing anything. they've been up since Aug. so have gone thru 3 seasons and haven't fallen down yet.

When we purchased our nearly new trailer in 2013, the first owner had put a clock on one of the soft touch walls with the command strips. I believe there were 2 or 3 strips on the clock and I removed them and there was absolutely no marks left on the wall. He had only had the trailer for 4 or 5 months, so they couldn't have been on there very long, but I use them when I put anything up now in the hopes that the results will be the same if/when I remove things.

id like to know for sure how they affect the material. if its too heavy it could cause the fabric to sag or droop i would think and possibly leave pull marks or small spots on the cloth. does it say on the packaging that it is safe for fabric?

very interested in the answer to this.

Postlewaitee, i am also waiting for someone to weigh in on possible sagging of the wall fabric. what we are hanging weighs about 1 pound.

I just saw this product....Scotch® 854 Heavy Duty Fabric Cubicle Grip, 35 squares per pack, 17.2mm x 17.2mm. This states that it holds up to 1KG (2.2 lbs)That would be plenty for our needs. Anyone familiar with this???

You have no problem with the items falling off the wall? My trailer was parked in January and never moved. All my command hooks failed. Everything wound up on the floor.
