A two pound, closed cell spray foam makes an outstanding insulation for a LQ. Not only does it offer a high "R" factor, but it makes the area very quiet and absolutely devoid of any air infiltration.

Spray foam insulation would be an excellent choice but probably not a do it yourself installation.Pink rigid foam insulation from the home improvement store comes in different choices of thickness. It cuts easily, you can tape it up in place and then finish with your choice of wall material.
