Location: canada | Do I have to completely pull all the mats from my 3H slant to clean them and the floor for winter storage, or can I just lift the "business end" and rinse under there as best I can to get all the poop/urine residue out? If I'm going to just lift the business end and rinse, should I keep those mat propped up on a board for a few days until it dries out? Thanks! |

| The better you clean the longer the floor will last. You need to remove them completely or urine and poop will live under the area you didn't clean. As long as the floor is clean and the mats are rinsed you can put them back in but a complete dry is better. |

| So is thoroughly rinsing enough, or do I have to scrub everything w/soap then rinse? |

Location: canada | That last post was from me, but sent from my iPad - not sure why I show up as "Guest". Anyway, the weather here is nice today so any cleaning I'll do will have to be today, then we'll be getting several days of rainy weather and turning much colder. Would another option be to rinse as much as I can today and pull the mats in the spring? FWIW my mare only peed inside once, it's mostly poop residue and not all that much of that either, even though we did lots of traveling this past season. In the past I have pulled the mats each Fall and scrubbed everything w/Simple Green, although this year the weather isn't cooperating. |

Location: canada | I normally do pull all the mats and scrub every inch of the inside. This year I knew that between my schedule and the weather I wouldn't have time for the full job so I was hoping there was an easier solution. I ended up pulling the mats and just scrubbing the dirty areas and rinsing everything else. Thanks for the help! |

| I finally put a stop to hauling 50# mats out of a trailer and scrubbing the floor, waiting for it to dry and usually not managing to get them lugged back in until we got it out of the shed at the farm when we got ready to use it the next spring.i followed Gards advice and instructions and coated all 3 of our trailer floors. |

Location: Texas | Course following Gard's directions the coating doesn't stick to the aluminum and pulls up in spots, hidden by the mats, and corrosion begins trapped under the coating. No telling how many floors are corroding away as a result while the owner feels secure with the one time sure fire miracle fix. |

Location: South Central OK | WERM the floor and forget the mats. I'll always have WERM and an equalizer on every trailer...I got spoiled when I built this one.
WERM flooring seals the floor, just shovel, soap and rinse...DONE! |
