I'm in the market for a new trailer and am curious to see if anyone has any experience with the Lakota 3H bumper pull (http://www.lakotatrailers.com/nonlq-bp-trailers/lxhslbpdr/).
I've seen a few threads about the LQ versions, but most of the discussion has been about the actual living quarters, not as much on the horse trailer part.
If anyone has any input on non-LQ BP models, I'd appreciate any feedback. Any general impressions, pros/cons, etc?
I'd like to buy one with a rear tack, ramp, drop down butt windows and escape door - if anyone has any experience with these options on the Lakota. In addition, are there any other options that you loved/hated?

Thanks in advance.

I have no experience with Lakota's so maybe someone will chime in...I know many with Lakota LQs...with any trailer, look at weld quality, workmanship in and out of the trailer, how easy you can get parts...

When we were looking at LQs, we looked through Lakotas, Sundowners, Elites, and a few others...I was shocked to see crappy welds, crappy craftmanship in the people area and the horse area of these 'high end' trailers...Sundowner and Lakota had the overall best welds...they actually cleaned up their welds..on some of the trailers, it looked like the fabricator got in a rush...

With any brand, walk through it, look at everything.

Good luck.
