our trailer is the same year and brand as yours, the door on the LQ is factory made by C & C and is put on with screws put some pics of what you have so someone maybe able to help you. you say in your post the door is hard to open? are you sure it is the hinges? maybe the door latch itself.

The hinge appears to have caps at top and bottom the same diameter as the pivot part of the hinge. I dont know if I said that right but it looks like a cylinder the diameter of a nickel and has a round cap at each end. The door isn't sprung, it closes well.
I don't know how to get the door off the hinges without maring the finish.

if the door is not sprung, why do you want to take it off? I would get some good oil and work on the hinges etc. are there drag marks on the door frame any where that it could be binding? we need mor info as to the real problem.

Thd door latch is not the problemm, it works fine. My problem with the door is when I open it, there is resistance in the door hinges, not free like it should be. The door opened, free from trailer top and bottom, has resistance in hinge only.
The hinge is welded on and the barrel where there is movement, shows no way to access the two parts, one part welded on door and one part welded on trailer frame.
Hinges look good and show no sign of corrosion. I have tried oiling the hinge but it doesn't help.
I thought someone would know how to remove the door with this type of hinge.
Thank you for your input

How did you oil it? What penetrating fluid did you use and how many sessions did you do?
a 50/50 mix of 100% acetone and dextron/mercron automatic transmission fluid is the best penetrating fluid out there... The two fluids will separate like oil and vinegar so you have to shake the bottle well before spraying.
