Subject: Cimarron Trailer quality?

wondered what the opinions were out there on Cimarron LQ trailers, used to own a Sundowner, and currently own a EBY with DR but no LQ,, have not seen a Cimarron in person,, do not want to drive 6 hours if they do not hold up,, or have issues, thanks in advance for your input

One of the very best. Well built.. Check out the Cimmaron website and the way they are built and the floor and frame layout.... Don't go halfway.... if you are wanting to save money, buy the best you can used...

Very well built trailer, will blow your Sundowner out of the water.  You'll have the trailer forever.

Who was it here on HTW that had a gooseneck LQ trailer that had the gooseneck break loose from the bulkhead wall....?? The sheet metal was doing most of the holding it together, trailer was sagging at the bulkhead wall.  This was several years ago, I can't go back that far to check . Was that a Cimarron, CM or such? Or am I imagining things..? My mind is slipping just a touch these days..!!!

I have a 2010 and love it.  Very good quality.  I'm planning to downsize from living quarters and would love to find my same trailer without the living quarters so would not hesitate to own another.

Was me. Our 2009 with 12' lq 4 horse. According to Cimarron, they hired a new engineer in early 2009 and he removed a lot of the bulk head bracing. He only lasted less than a year than they went back to the previous designed bulk head/drop wall bracing--mid 2010 I would say.

I would assume any other years but 2009/early 2010, would be fine. But I just didn't like that they didn't do anymore than the bare minimum as per the warranty. In my biz, if I screw up a 80k deal, I do everything I can to make sure the customer is still a customer-they didn't even try.  First they didn't believe me until I sent them videos of transferring the weight from the nose to the trailer jack and you could see the skin bow 1"-2". They sent me some glue to reglue the skin. That lasted one trip. Than said I probably didn't glue it right and to take it to the plant in Chickasaw-750 miles away. Dealer--Arena Trailers in Minn.-, said it was a manufacturer issue. I have not and will not go back there either.

When we traded this trailer, I disclosed everything to the dealer. I am sure we took a hit on the value as they called Cimarron and discussed it.

Don't horse trailers come out a year ahead?  I had a 2009 Cim and it was built in 08.  I never had an issue with it and I put a lot of miles on it
