I would appreciate advice on the Brenderup 2 horse trailers. Thanks.J.M.

If you have a light tow vehicle with a low tow rating they are a good choice. Do a search. They tend to be a controversial trailer to some, but are well engineered and are used a lot in Europe with small European autos. If all I had was a Volvo I would look at one for sure!

I agree with Dunoir - I was interested in opinion and 1st hand knowledge of these trailers as well - you will find a lot of previous discussion by doing a search on past threads - just use "Brenderup" as your keyword, and go back at least 180 days.
The only other advice I'll offer here, is once you read all the info out there, then go out and find the brand your looking for.
We just had our yearly "Equine Affair" here in New England last weekend. I've read a lot about several brands here, both through the reviews, and from the posts. There really is no substitute for the look - touch - feel of seeing them all in one place. Seeing all of the brands together, including Brenderup, was invaluable.
We were easily able to narrow down our search to two brands that best fit our needs and budget (Hawk or Featherlite). Now I just need to do some "test drives" and get the one that seems to pull better.

You will find that folks that have Brenderups love them, those that don't are quick to give an opinion that they are not safe, blah, blah, blah. I find it interesting that someone asking for an opinion gets told to search before asking the question. Funny, this same suggestion is not given to the numeros other posters that duplicate requests for opinions on other trailers. If you want to PM me about any questions you may have I'll try and answer them. I've owned three different Brenderups and now have a Baron TC 2006.

There have been numerous threads on Brenderups and they tend to get very controversial. I think many of us also get tired to answering to the same questions or requests, when a search will provide tons of info in far less time.
You may be surprised to know that I am not one that is against Brenderups. Several friends of mine have them and love em. I feel they serve their purpose just like many other trailers and I have trailered my horse in it, so I am not against them.

no one is holding a gun to your head making you answer "the same question", why did you click on the thread? the mods can handle mutiple or re occuring threads. why, on every forum, do members feel it necessary to whine about "same questions"?

I just bought a 2006 baron TC to pull my 17.1 warmblood and my kids medium pony with my MB 320. I love it. The horses are happy and so am I. I pull mostly on flat highways and not for major distances but it could not be easier to pull with. I used to drive a king cab dually pick up truck with a gooseneck trailer in the old days and prefer this set up.
It is spectacularly designed and worth every penny.

I have never seen one of those behind a crewcab dually with someone wearing a Resitol they are usually driving a MB 320 , Range Rover or Volvo wearing one of those little hats with the snap in the front. They look great with those. they may be great trailers but they sure look funny.

I own a Brenderup, along with another steel two horse trailer. I've been towing horses for 20+ years, and I think the Brenderup is one of the best two horse trailers you can buy. Even if you don't have a lighter tow vehicle, they make a great trailer.
I tow mine with a Ford Explorer (v8, tow package) and an F-350 diesel. Both pull it like a dream. I wouldn't recommend a vehicle smaller than a midsize SUV if you're going to drive great distances on the freeway.
As someone else mentioned, do a search, there has been a lot of discussion on Brenderups and feel free to P.M. if you have additional questions.
