Has anyone ever used a cricket electric cart? I am looking for data on the cricket. I have a LQ trailer and can not fit a golf cart and saw the cricket that would fit inside my trailer but was concerned about its perfomance vs a golf cart. I would appreciate any data anyone has.

Thx for the website. Do you have any personal data on the cart?

Several of us tried them but were really unhappy with their performance and went back to our EZ Go. They are not good in grass, gravel, sand, mud or real hilly show grounds. The Crickett has very little power and not much room for cargo. We couldn't get a full size bale of hay in the back and the buckets had to get tied on to the outside. I could carry almost as much on my scooter. The Cricket took 2 slant stalls in my trailer although their ads stated it only needed one. I hated the braking on it. I think the rideable ice chest is a better invention. Cashman's of Ohio did have the cricket carts marked way down for a long time. The Crickets have really come down in price from when they first came out. I have seen several for sale at shows for well under $1000. I think I only saw 3 or 4 at the QH Congress this year in the 3 weeks I was there. It may work fine for you but I would suggest trying it before you bought it.

I looked at those "Cricket" scooters last year and found them to be too big and heavy for the size motors and batteries they are equipped with. They have super flotation but not enough power to turn the tires. I use this   http://www.affordableoption.com/scooters/Shoprider/Sunrunner_4.htm at   home, horse shows, or where ever. (I'm shy one hind leg don't you see!!.)  I know it's not a golf cart, but the Cricket is much closer to being a PMV than a golf cart that we're all accustomed to. I have three of these Shoprider scooters, one is a 1998 model that I can't kill. All the red plastic faring is cracked and broken from the horses stepping on it while I lead them around. I'm on the third set of tires and fourth set of batteries. I know this Shoprider 888-4 is not what you're looking, but it has surely worked for me.....It gave me my leg back!!!

Nothing beats the converted EZ-GO.  If you are anywhere down south give this guy a look.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ponderosapaints/

If you are up north he has a link to a partner in Ohio listed on his site.

On a lighter note, if space is of concern, perhaps we could get the guy who loads all the horses on top of the horse trailer to show us how to get an EZ-GO up there.

I want one of those to go to work with.  Drive it to work, put it on a solar charger while I'm at work so it will get me back home.  Of course it will take me a half hour to get there but I suppose since solar power is *free* I could deal with it.

I have the same problem. I can't get both a horse and full size golf cart in my 3H 6'8" trailer. BUT I discovered an older 3 wheel golf cart that is considerably shorter than my 4 wheel  E-Z-Go. after trial and error found that I can load a horse in the front stall and with the 2nd partition swung open and the tack room collapsed the 3 wheel golf cart, driven in at just the right angle, will fit in the back. Not ideal of course, but in a pinch it works!

Same problem here.  I spoke with the owners two years ago after seeing them at Congress and made arrangements for them to be showcased at the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma City and also at the coveted NFR in Las Vegas.  They never paid or returned calls.

I have learned that a happy customer will tell a few people how happy they were, BUT a Pi**ed off customer will tell anyone and everyone, Which is exactly what Im going to do.... I have stopped people from buying them a few times at Shows in OKC. AND in Waco I stopped a few sales there too.
I love the machine and the Idea. I had bought it because I was in OKC for BBr finals and I had the flu and I couldnt fathom taking another step.
BUT I hate poor customer service! DO NOT BUY A CRICKET! Lisa
