My GMC 2500HD pick-up was recently totaled. It was my husband's daily driver, and I used it to pull my steel gooseneck 2-horse. We are trying to decide whether or not to replace the 2500. I had been wanting to down size my trailer anyway and wondered if my Chevy Tahoe could handle an aluminum 2-horse BP.The Tahoe is a 2002, 2-wheel drive, 5.7L Vortec engine, auto-ride suspension, factory installed tow package, GVWR 6,800.Trailer-wise, I would like an aluminum two-horse slant with stock sides and small dressing room. I would usually be hauling my small Arab (850#) to lessons or trail rides a few times a month. Occasionally, I would haul two horses, the other being about 1,000#.Here is an idea of the type of trailer I am looking for:http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/home/trailerdetail.asp?ID=238267So, can my Tahoe handle this?

Your Tahoe should be able to easily handle a 2 horse bumber pull. I have had that set up in the past with no problems.

How long is your Tahoe? My tahoe was short and although it towed my bumper pull just fine, the stability was not good.

According to the "interwebz", my Tahoe has a 198" overall length and 116" wheelbase.

With a load distributing hitch and a proper check on your gross weight numbers, you should be fine.
