To replace my Carlisle tires I can go with either Goodyear Marathon LT235 85 R16 or Firestone Transforce HT LT235 85 R16.  I have read previous posts regarding ST vs LT and have been told that both of these are manufactured in the US.

Which would be the best ones to put on my Kiefer 3 horse Evolution?

If you go with the LT tires, you have many choices of American made tires of that size. My personal favourite is BFG. On many trailers, a high mileage tire will not be used to its maximum benefit. Its age usually becomes an issue, before it wears out from mileage.

The Good for a year Marathons are without a doubt made in China.  Firestones Im not sure.  I just purchased a set of Denman St's which were suppose to have been made in Mexico (according to Denman)   They have stamped Made in China right on the side.  I was so pissed off.

Just FYI I think Goodyear is on the create jobs in US because the last several shipments of Goodyear Marathon's I've purchased have been made in USA unlike the earlier versions I purchased were made in China.

That Marathon doesn't come in a 85 series.. You can get a 235/80R16 in a "D" that's rated at 3000# or the "E" that's rated at 3420#. Speed rated at 65 mph.

The "Transforce" is/will be the cheaper of the two you mentioned. Here's a pretty good list to view, check over the survey's and reviews. This Light Truck tire is "R" speed rated... Good for 106 mph!!

Does anyone have any info on a Kelly Trail Mark tire.  I can't find too much on the internet.  I've also been quoted on the Firestone Transforce HT.  If it was between these two, which should I choose?

I believe you'll find Kelly to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Goodyear, and very well respected in the industry. One note- avoid all-terrain type tires for a trailer. Their aggressive tread pattern are designed for drive wheel positions and can show irregular wear patterns when used on a trailer.

Well, I got the Firestone Transforce HTs mounted this morning.  I hope I've made the right decision.  Time will tell.

Here's a list of the "private brand" tires along with the builder and the seller...

A while back there was discussion about "Towmaster Greenball Tires".....

I saw a set of the Firestone Transforce HT's the other day all the way around a Dodge dually. That is a good looking tire. From what that guy had to say about them, i believe that may be my purchase as well. Let us know what you think as time and miles accumulate.

They'll do as well as any, and better than most. Don't fret the decision!

I just put a set of the Firestone Transforce AT's on my F250.So far I'm pleased with them. They ride pretty good and not alot of road noise..I will be replacing the LQ tires next year and I'm leaning to Firestones for it.Let's us know how they do...
