also, there is a factory recall covering high temps as you describe. Check Norcold on google and see if your serial # matches recalled units.

If you find the flame, the flue or vent is the tube directly above it. Sometimes carbon builds up inside the flue and needs to be cleaned out....a small air compressor and tube can be helpful. There might be a wire or chain inside the flue that you can grab and shake. Good luck

Well, went looking at the fridge. Not on recall list.. darnit! found flue on back side of fridge outside the trailer.. Looked up on roof and it does not have vent. ?? Its in a 99 Featherlite trailer. Now what? 16

flue might not go to roof. It might terminate just under the counter and be vented through a grill on the side of the trailer. Take grill off and you should see top of flue.

That is what has me confused.. The only grill is the one you open to get access to the pilot and the backside of the frig.. I see the flue, and it goes up past the top of the grill. Now gotta figure out were it terminates. The microwave cab and micro looks like it is right above it. Maybe its behind the micro.. When it quits raining, I will go check that out.. Thanks!

There should be two vent for a gas fridge. One at the burner level and one above the appliance. The top vent may be on the outside wall or cut into the roof. They are usually rectangular in shape and smaller than a house's hot air vent.

you might also download the owners/installation manual to make sure that it was installed properly from the beginning....was this a factory install or a homeowner install?

There is no vent in the side or the roof.. I bought the trailer like this a while back. Just never used the fridge...Now I am selling it, so was checking everything.. Guess the orginal installer did it wrong.. It was a company that did it, according to the decals. So, will just have to get a vent in.. Thanks for all ya'll's help and suggestions.. Lynn
