We're looking at buying a newer living quarters trailer. What are some good financing companies? And what is typical for trailer loans? terms, ect??We've only financed smaller loan trailers through our local bank for 48 month terms. But we're wanting to spend more like 40-50,000

We had planned to go thru our credit union,we actually had it all set up at 2.25%/60 months. We were calling it a "liveing quarters trailer" which it is. When they saw the title and the word "horse",they told us "they dont do horse trailers of any kind".We ended up haveing to pull equity out of a mutual fund that was makeing 5%.Its a 2009 merhow. My point is,be carefull what you call it!

You should probably go through a dealer who uses a broker. We can get 15 years on new trailers at 5% with good credit. Sometimes we can get the same good rates on trailers that are a few years old with good credit. Most local banks are afraid of trailers and only offer 4 or 5 year financing, which means a huge payment.

Use Southeast Financial, online, and avoid the dealers fees and backside on the loan. They will cut you a check.
