We camped at Deep Creek, N.C. last fall in Bryson City. Camp host very helpful but need to use his stock trailers to haul out which are free of charge. He is about one mile from trailhead but it is a blacktop road which has pretty much traffic on it. There are plenty of trailheads around and camp host is very knowledgeable of area. Loved the riding and plenty of it.

wow what timing, i was just looking at Deep Creek and was wondering about the trailhead situation and how the campground and host is.  Looking at the website and prices made me think it was to good to be true, plus when i saw use of his trailers was free as well. hmm may have just found one of our vacation spots for next year. if you can think of anything else helpful let me know. How are the trails?  we ride southern missouri and Colorado a lot so we arent afraid of rock and rough just dont want every day to be hard.  Thank You

Loved the trails out of Deep Creek. Easy to get around and plenty of waterfalls. Trails all were well maintained that we rode. Plenty of trailheads close by but due to government shutdown last fall did not get to ride but a few days.

We spent a week at Deep Creek in May. Loved it, and James the host, is great. Also go into Bryson City and take the train ride. The trails were well maintained.
