Looking into ordering a new trailer and have noticed these brands are similar in cost. Would appreciate some input on comparing the stability and quality of the trailers as well as warranty customer service etc. Thank you!

Lakota will be an all aluminum as where the Logan is not. That there is my issue with Logan. They are super pricey, even more so than most all aluminum trailers

I've got a 2006 Logan XTR and I used the heck out of it. In fact my 2011 F350 shows over 26,000 on that horse trailer during the time I've pulled it with that truck. I have no idea how many miles I put on with the previous truck. The new Fords have a mileage odometer for up to 16 trailers so you can see how many miles each trailer accumulates.Yes the Logan has a steel frame with a Aluminum skin. I've had no problems with mine.I've had to replace a couple of minor parts, Lights, parts for the drop windows etc. Service have been fine. Make a phone call, give them my credit card and have a box in the mail a few days later. My only complaint has been the light switches on the back corner of the trailer that control the horse compartment lights and outside flood lights. These switches are mounted outside the trailer and seem to get dust in them and stop working. Remove them, flush them WD40 and they work just fine again for a year or two. Can't speak for the Lakota's since I've never seen one.

I think it's important to note that the steel frames used in Logan's are galvanized steel, and not just mild steel with a paint or undercoating on it. The entire frame is than Vortex sprayed or coated before any skin is applied to the trailer. Logan's have had a strong following with the rodeo folks and ranchers, because of the ranch and forest service roads they run these trailers on. Many aluminum framed trailers wouldn't hold up w/o cracking issues, if used on these kinds of roads. The aluminum planked "whiz proof" floor in the Logan's would be reason enough for me to have a Logan over the Lakota. Just my two cents worth.

I had one of the first Lakota trailers made and it was a total piece of crap. Lakota was very nice and even took it back to the factory for repairs and tried to fix everyhthing but I'd never get another.
