Scott County wants to license my Lakota C39 as a semi trailer. It's 30.00. They won't recognize it as an RV. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there an advantage? We've determined we won't need a CDL. We're just under the weight. Thank you.

Does it have a T.R.Arnold inspection sticker and serial number tag? Does it have a "Listed Recreational Vehicle" tag listing all the conversion equipment that also has the name of the conversion company ? If it has these, then its a RV,no matter what they think. If not,well................

It has a RVIA sticker. Going for my third trip with a letter from Lakota. I guess if they still want to license it as a semi-trailer there isn't much I can do. Thank you.

I live in Iowa also and I would ask them for the state criteria for what it takes to be a RV. Call the State office and ask them. Don't always believe the county people. I believe if it contains 5 of the 9 items it is a RV period. Do not let them buffalo you.
