If you perform a SEARCH of Exiss for the last year, you will find many comments about this brand. Like any other product, you will find conflicting ideas about the brand's quality. I favour the statements made by actual owners, as opposed to those non-owners, who often make general "junk" types of opinions.
One way to measure the worth of a product, is to learn how long it has been sold and the number of units that have been built. With the results of many owners using a product, it is easier to see if there are any issues, that may be of interest to you. A large sales generally indicates the popularity of a product.
Trailers that have been used for decades and are still in service, are a good indicator of quality and function. Some newer trailer brands have altered their manufacturing standards, to account for higher material and labour costs, and the necessity of dealing with the increasing number of their competitors. Unfortunately this has resulted in some new trailers, being less robust than their earlier examples, and a good reason why a used trailer is often a better deal than a new one.

I had an Exiss '02 for over ten years and loved it. It was a little 2H GN with 4' SW. The ONLY problem I ever had was with the drop down windows in the model. Some years after the purchase, I noticed the windows looked like the latches were not holding right. Turned out the inner wooden core had rotted away. My trailer guy took them apart and rebuilt them using a composite material. Exiss said the company that had made the windows were at fault, and the newer trailers had different drop downs. I don't know what year they made the switch. Other than that, I loved my Exiss. So might be worth checking out the windows. Oh, and my trailer was stored inside, so it never stood out in the elements for any huge length of time.

I had the exact same problem with the dropdowns on my '01 XT200. I rebuilt them myself, but I wish I had thought of using something more waterproof. I used a waterproofing, plus silicone sealed all the seams. Oh, well...20/20 hindsight.

I have an '02 Exiss and I really like it. I, too, had the problem with the drop down windows, but a friend rebuilt them for me. I also had roof leaks after a few years, but that's not the trailer's fault. I failed to do preventative maintenance. I've since done proper roof maintenance and all is good. My trailer sits outside 24/7/365. I've owned it for about 10 years and plan on keeping it.

I was about to purchase a 2003 3 Horse Exiss Sport with LQ. Then I came to the forums. There are about 3 threads here that indicate an Exiss Sport model is inferior to the Event model. I've seen problems about window latch framing deteriorations and one where the side of the trailer was not welded correctly so that the divider latches were not secure. The current website for Exiss does not indicate they manufacture the Sport series. Does anyone know when they discontinued that model. Are the new Exiss trailers built to the quality of the Sport or the Event? The only Exiss trailers I see for sale, are Sports, so I'm thinking there are more issues with them??? Can any Exiss previous or current owners chime in on the quality of these trailers?

I have a 2003 3h Exiss Event. I have never had any issues with the trailer itself. It has an 8ft LQ in it and has seen many miles. The only thing I have replaced on the trailer itself was the tail lights and that was because I wanted LED's. Other wise it has been a great trailer.

Thank you Mingiz. All the comments I have seen on the Event model have been positive like yours. It's the Sport I've been looking at. I've decided not to buy it since a friend of a friend had one and sold it as soon as the 1 year warranty was up. She said the dividers wouldn't latch correctly and things just didn't fit correctly, like cabinet doors, etc. I don't want to purchase someone else's problems.
