Has anyone ever added thermostat control to the AC fan so it doesn"t run all the time?

the local rv place where I live installed one and it works on temp., it will switch from heat to ac and it works great, I have no idea if it can be done to all brands of ac and or heaters.

My Bison came with a thermostat that allows the fan to be on all the time or just when its cooling. Don't know if this is just a function of the thermostat, AC unit, or both.

All ducted units are thermostatically controlled and operate just like the central ducted air and heat in homes.

A friend added one to hers aftermarket, so it is possible. Her trailer isn't ducted. I think it does depend on the the brand and the year model of the unit.

Here's a guy who wired the heater coil with a thermostat. With a little wiring, you could do the same with the AC. http://www.rvforum.net/SMF_forum/index.php/topic,61147.msg563452.ht...

I put a non-ducted thermostat controlled AC unit in a small LQ. It worked really, really well. You order the control module and thermostat. The bottom on the A/C unit (in the trailer) is a little different, but I think it is an easy thing to replace.
