I have 99 sundowner 4 horse living quarters. The jack is a standard 10 or 12 k with an 12 volt electric motor on an adapter. There is a small gear that screws to the motor and runs the gears to the jack. The screw slipped and wore out the splines. I have called sundowner parts and they said to call redneck trailer supply. Redneck said to call the motor manufacture. The motor manufacture said they just build the motors. I have called all the local trailer parts stores. No luck. Can anyone tell me where to get this part? Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

I finally found the part at a company called Factory Direct equipment. It is an Equalizer part called a pinion gear. Yahoo success at last.

Spend the money and replace it with an hydraulic jack. Much better in the long run

Cost me $35 for the part and shipping. That was a whole lot easier to swallow than $1200-1400 for a hydraulic jack.

Congrats on finding a part...now if it fails again...then you might want to look at a bigfoot...:) http://shop.thebigfootleveler.com/1pt-Manual-Override-Landing-Gear-...
