Hello all,I am interested in opinions/reviews and input, both good and bad, on the featherlites model 9607, 2 horse straightload with Mangers.Personally, I'm not a manger fan, as hooves can get caught in them. That said tho, I would love feedback and perhaps what to look for troubleshooting, when considering pre-owned models. I am looking at 2004.Thanks!

Since no one else has, I'll toss some in.

You are looking at a 10+ year old piece of equipment. At that age, usage will make all the difference in its condition. You just need to thoroughly check EVERYTHING for structural fatigue, as well as usage and neglect damage.

Unless you have fresh service info, there's no way to tell about brakes, until you take them apart. So there can be a few hundred dollar variable there. Just FYI.

I can't speak specifically about the Featherlite you ask about. I like the straightload with mangers, but many do not for the reason you mentioned. Squirlly horses and mangers can make for a bad combo.

I had a sundowner that was basically the same model. I loved the mangers and the horses rode very well in that trailer. I hauled some squirreley horses in it and never had any problems with one getting up in it.
