I see alot of horse trailers at shows that vendors use-- use the back horse area as product and display storage and the front as a place to stay overnight---no other instlations necessary

The local conversion company has done several the last few years. The surprising thing, they learned, is the weight involved. With all the racks, peg board, displays, inventory, ramps, etc, the weight really adds up. The other issue is that these trailers are loaded to capacity 100% of the time, whereas, a trailer used for horses, typically, are not maxed out that much.
The last one that they did, that I am aware of, was a triple axle, was around 34' on the floor. Weight was over 24k I believe when loaded. It had a 10-12 LQ in front with rest display area.
I wonder if a Wells Cargo type trailer could handle the weight???

I don't know if you've located one yet but I have an Optima that is outfitted to go down the road now. It has laminate flooring, two air conditioners, grid system on the walls - found to be the easiest to travel with and keep tack on the walls. I paid $32,000 for it new without being outfitted out. I'd let it go for $20,000. It's been sitting as a storage for my tack business since I moved back from Montana in 2010. It was purchased new in 2008. It is 8 foot wide and 44 foot long. Been a nice trailer for me but I no longer run to horse shows. You can see it at my facebook page Quarter Box 3 Performance Tack. Best regards,Misha
