I have used a product from Walmart, called Spray Power cleaner, but it has been very hard to find. Someone from a camper place told me to use a product from the Dollar Store called Totally Awesome Cleaner it works too. Don't know how good it is on the trailer but it works.

The automotive Goo Gone works perfect here in East TN. It all depends on what the 'streak' has in it as to what will work. With the Automotive Goo Gone, you just spray on and wipe off, no scrubbing. Just don't get it on your decals.

I've used Awesome before and it's cheap and works well on black streaks. I've also used it to get bugs off and it worked better than the expensive cleaner from an auto store. Dollar General and I think Wal Mart too carries it. I like to use Simple Green also and I know it works well on the under side of an awning but haven't tried it on black streaks but would be surprised if it didn't work well.

Don't use bleach on the silver aluminum part of the trailer. It will discolor it.
Streakmaster is an awesome product.

The streakmaster is awesome.  I just spiffed mine up in about an hour last night. It's glowing!   The gallon I bought last year is still 3/4 full.

We use a product called FastBall on the prefinished white or other color aluminum. It is primarily ether and pine oil. It will not harm the milled aluminum finish, but it won' t clean it either. It will not harm decals, windows, etc. We use it on the windows too. We spray it on, wipe it off. Pine oil sounds like greasy, but it isn't. It just evaporates I guess. You will use lots of rags, as the aluminum corrosion that you are wiping off is black, black. Some of the black streak removers on the market will take away the hard surface of the colored aluminum, and then the next bout of black streaks will really soak in and be difficult to remove.

I just stumbled onto this post. I have recently been wondering if there isn't a product out there to clean those streaks! I just cleaned mine real good a couple of weeks ago and could not get it looking like I wanted it to look. Made me want to shop for a all baked on paint! Anyway....this Streakmaster has got me really interested...I did a search and I found -http://www.ridingwarehouse.com/Streak_Master_Aluminum_Trailer_Brightener_Cleaner_1_Gal/descpage-SMATC.htmlSeems like a good deal $24.95 and if I order the Black Streak Remover for my painted part I get free shipping.
