Looking at a Sterling Coach that is advertised for sale. I have never seen one of these trailers. It looks like quality, but can someone tell me something about them. Is Sterling Coach still in business? I tried to call a phone number listed on the web for them, but the number had been disconnected. This trailer has a single axel dually. Never seen that on a horse trailer either. If someone could give opinions on that, I would like to hear them too.

Sterling Coach is no longer in business as Paul said. I've owned a Sterling for the last 6 years and in my opinion it is the best made trailer ever made. As for engineering if a little was good they doubled it to be sure to last. I've seen triple axles, single duals double axle duals built for semi trucks. Most of there business was custom builds. In it's day you couldn't buy any better. Jg

Thank you for the replys. The trailer looks very well made, I am just a little afraid of what resale may be on it as they are no longer made. The single, dual axel was something I hadn't seen before either. I had called the phone number in KS, it was disconnected. I suspected they must be out of business. The particular trailer I an looking at has been for sale for several weeks.

there are several of the best trailer company's out there that have quit building but a quality trailer is well sought out and does not loose value , like you might believe. I will take quality any day over some of the cheap ones made today.
