Depends on the value and type of trailer. Unless that's a high dollar trailer that seems very high to me. We paid about $700 a year for a trailer valued at $60k.

^^^^agreed. seems high to me, without knowing year make and model of your trailer

Insurance is such a huge issue. We finally got great insurance on our Kenworth puller and LQ horsetrailer that covers our needs, and leaves us a few bucks to go riding! I think it is thorugh Nationwide via Farm & City. It is sometimes difficult to get private use insurance on class 6-8 trucks and RV or Horsetrailers... You will still need Markel coverage for your horses.
