I am shopping for my first horse trailer with LQ. I want the horse compartment (walls and roof) insulated as well as the LQ. I live in Louisiana where it is extremely hot and humid. Does anyone know of horse trailer manufacturers who provide this?

I believe they all offer some type of insulated horse area, at an added cost. Probably would make that money back at resale.

We live in SE Louisiana and have owned various types of trailers over the years. Really don't find the insulated horse areas that much better in our area because the heat is not always from the sun but from the actual temp. +humidity. , I find drop windows at the head and butt which kerps the air moving through the trailer more effective.

I am in TN and find that insulation does make a HUGE difference in keeping the trailer cooler. We lived in our LQ for a few weeks last year while we built a house and the insulation in the horse area was awesome. We kept our walk through door open to the rear so the air conditioning would flow back there and it worked well. I would never buy another trailer without insulation. I can feel a difference between out side air temperature and inside air temperature even without the air running.Every manufacturer offers insulation, although some may offer it as an option, not a standard feature. Find a manufacturer who builds a trailer YOU like, and then see what options they offer.Best wishes on your trailer search and safe travels!

True- popular option, but not standard.

Actually, few things are standard on most trailers, but that doesn't mean that it isn't easy enough to order it when built. For example, a spare tire is standard on very few trailers, but most have them. Like A/C on a truck.
