I accidentally acquired a new generator for my Keifer 3 horse LQ trailer. My DH bought two DuraMax XP10000 hybrid's (uses propane or gas) for a mobile concession trailer at a great price which he eventually didn't use because they were not big enough. Rather than return he said that he would resell. I suggested one would be big enough for my trailer since it needs a 30 amp to run everything. I loaded it onto the back of my truck (F450) turned it on, plugged the trailer in, turned everything on that I could think I'd use. It runs great, everything. AC nice n cold. Only thing is that it has decibels of about 70. Not too loud, but not quiet as a Honda. Down here in GA it gets HOT, so the AC is nice. Do you think that this unit would be too loud for others?

I would NOT want to be in the next campsite when you're running the genset. It is "relatively" quiet for its size. Not that it is quiet. Wait while I crank my 30 Kw diesel genset... Then yours is quiet !

That genset is way too loud for a campsite, you won't make any friends for sure..... Your DuroMax is about three times as loud a a 3000 watt Honda or Yamaha Inverter generator, of course it's making three times more power. ... look at examples belowhttps://www.chem.purdue.edu/chemsafety/Training/PPETrain/dblevels.htm

Definitely too loud for a camp site. I don't know about others but I go to the woods to camp , relax and listen to nature, not someone's loud generator running constantly. And it's funny how they always put the loud generators behind their trailer pointing at someone else campsite. If your going to camp in the wilderness with others, spend the money on a Honda or Yamaha quiet generator. If not, dry camp or park where you can plug in . Be considerate of others when camping and running a generator
