Hi, I have a 12 foot stock trailer, round nose, with no divider. I've previously just hauled my horse alone, but now would like to haul a friend's horse with mine. The two horses aren't acquainted (yet); we want to trail ride together & she doesn't have a trailer. My horse is about 14.2 hands, hers is about 15.3 hands. So what would be the best way to do this? I usually tie my horse to one of the upright bars about midway in the trailer, and he can swing his butt around to the nose of the trailer if he wants. But with 2 horses, not sure what to do? Would adding a divider be best, or would y'all just wrap the horses' legs and tie them? Thanks in advance!

from my experience most of the time when horses ride next to each other in a trailer they become friends. wrap their legs if it makes you feel better and tie them at the front of the trailer

I would spend some time introducing them and then tying them to the same side of the trailer to see if they are bothered by one another. The last thing you want is to find out going down the road at highway speeds and a trailer bolting and swaying that they aren't getting along.

Error on the safe side -get a divider installed in your trailer. One kick can seriously injure either horse.
