depends on the conversion company that does the living quarters and also depends on the materials used, they can offer both cheap and not so cheap options.

Bison is owned by an RV manufacturer and do their on "conversion". I have a 2013 LQ with slide out and really like it.

The Bison slide out uses a gear and rack instead of the cable system used on many slide outs and I think its much better.

We just sold our 2006 Bison with the flush floor slide. (bought it new) We really liked everything about our trailer. Never any issues with the slide and loved the way it opened up the 10ft. short wall LQ. My husband and I tried to take excellent care of the entire trailer with a regular routine of cleaning, lubrication where needed, watching for any wear and tear. I will miss the Bison, but we are downsizing in length and width and LQ.

We are pretty disappointed with our LQ 2014 Bison stratus express with slide. It leaked bad dust and water. General poor workmanship in it. We know its a bottom of the line trailer but its been like dollar store quality for us with this specific trailer. Finally got the leak with the slide fixed after 3 trips to the shop.
