our Trailer lift has dropped all the way down. Won't work when plugged into truck. I would appreciate any thoughts on how to begin trouble shooting.

Brand? Pictures? Have you taken off the cover and looked for the manual jack portion? Mine has to have a specific sequence of things done before you can just start to manually jack it up/down. Look online for the owners manual if you can.

Can you push it up by hand?

My 4Star LQ did this a few years ago. The seals on the hydraulic cylinder had failed and the oil leaked out. Replaced the cylinder at a truck shop and all was well again. Any oil on the ground by the jack stand?
