Hello fellow horse lovers!No, I did not mount them this way. ;-) (Someone wasn't thinking, and it wasn't me). I'm pretty sure the mats are 3/4", otherwise they are 1/2". I'm sure you can imagine just how rough those mats are.What do you think is the best solution? Sand off the rough side, coat with some liquid rubber or rubber paint (no idea what), glue on a thin mat over the top (using Sikaflex, or what?), or does anyone have a better idea? Replacing the mats is not something I'd do.Thanks in advance your your opinions and advice!

Mats are mounted on the walls.

They are mounted with rivets and black Sikaflex-like glue.
