There have been several threads on this subject, you might want to do a search on here under acid wash and read them before you try it.

I've used several, but the best and easiest that I have found is a product called Streakmaster Aluminum wash.It is an acid wash,it is mild, and the mixture is right on the bottle.www.streakmaster.com and no,I don't work for them.

You might also check to see if you have a local company who does it professionally. Here in Helena we havea local company who offers this service and will some to your place or your place of business. It is very inexpensive and well worth it. Sometimes by doing the "over-the-counter" methods you will get a film or milky look to your aluminum.

I followed the directions with the Streakmaster products and my trailer came out as nice as if it had been taken through a truck acid wash only not as harsh a treatment.Mine didn't have a milky look to it,the product does work very well, but,to each his own.
