Which is the best? Honda EU Inverter or Yamaha Inverter? I would appreciate opinions.

Thanks.

I have friends that use both. From what they tell me...do you like red or blue?  They both love them and neither have had any complaints that I have heard.

I've got the Yamaha EF2400 and several friends I camp with have the Honda EU3000.

Both work just fine and are dependable units.

I choose the Yamaha because it was 70lbs vs the EU3000 at 134 lbs, I load my generator in and out of my truck bed each trip.

It was $1100 for the Yamaha vs $1995 for the Honda EU3000

2400 watts was enough to run my trailer, and the Honda 2000 was not big enough. and the Honda 3000 was more than I needed.

The Yamaha is rated at 1.6 gallons of fuel in 8 hours at 50% load vs the Honda EU3000 3.4 gallons in 10 hours.

If you are going to physically mount the generator and not move it around. I'd probably spend the extra and buy the Honda EU3000 or the Yamaha EF3000

Mines Red! Because I got a great deal on the Honda EU size I needed. Either unit is a good buy! I can move it, start it and NOT hear it! Good luck!

I own a Honda 3000 inverter...........When mine runs on eco setting-only produces enough electricity as the load asked- the gas will last 20 hours before a refill........Now at full speed throttle under full load, you are looking at the 10 - 13 hour mark..........I would re purchase a Honda if ever needed to........Best of Luck

I use a Yamaha Ef3000iseB... It's Got better than 1000 hours on it and it's never failed. It runs a 13.5 roof mount A/C in 100 degree heat and that hasn't killed it. I replaced the starting battery last spring and I change oil every 75-100 hours.... Mobil 1 10W30. Either one ( blue or red ) will do just fine. I bought the BLUE one because it would fit the area I wanted to put it, better than the RED one.... And the BLUE one has WHEELS!!!

I have the Yamaha 2400. It runs the AC with everything else off. The Honda 2000 was a little small and the 3000 I did not want to handle the weight. This one compromises nicely. Rich

I have two Honda 2,000 watt gens and the power kit that connects them. Had one and when we added an AC to the trailer wanted to get the 3,000 watt gen but the wife changed my mind with a simple "NO" Got the second 2,000 watt unit. Find that these work fine for me due to the weight and use one around the house if I need  electric power in the pasture etc.  Might check out www.wisesales.com  They carry both Honda and Yamahi gens. Think that both are good  and you would probably be happy with either. Note that you can get an extended run fuel tank for th Honda, might even work on the Yamahi. Should you choose another make make sure  that is as quiet as the Honda or Yamahi

It will not work with the Yamaha, unless the aux. tank is higher than the genny (to promote a siphon). The Honda has a fuel pump whereas the Yamaha does not.

I have the Yamaha 2400

Thanks for all of the good information.

Now, where would be the best place to get a Honda?

Thanks again.

I wouldnt rule out a Kipor generator. Kipor makes the same type 3000 watt electric start as Honda with the same warranty just a better price. Try www.kipornorthamerica.com

Do you have yours mounted under the gooseneck?
How did you do that? Don't they need air circulation?
Thanks

I think I'm overpowered.  I bought a 6500 Watt surge Toro.  Loud, but plenty of power.

I have a Honda Eu3000 & I love it. I put it in the bed of my truck and when camping I just pull it out so it has some air circulation around the bedliner and gooseneck and it has been wonderful. Enough power to run the AC when necessary, and very very quiet!

I asked the same question on here some time back.  After looking at the Yamaha and then several off name brands I ended up going with the Honda Eu3000.  It wasn't that much more to purchase and it would run my air conditioner if ever needed.  It is SO quiet you hardly even hear it running.  I am so glad that I decided to go with the bigger unit opposed to the smaller 2000 size unit.

I ran one of those big belt driven, 48" fans, 3-20" box fans and a 5 amp battery charger for 12 hours this past Saturday, on a little less than two and a half gallons of gas.... Yamaha EF3000ISEB
