I am looking at purchasing a 13 year old quarter horse gelding. He sounds like a really nice horse, but has one problem, he kicks at other horses on the trail. Is this something I can work with or do you think at his age it is a habit that would be hard to break?

Absolutly, keep looking. I wouldn't want the hassle and I dont believe you could ever be certain that you have corrected this behavior. Everytime you realize you haven't somone is in danger.

That bad behavior should've been nipped right when it started. At that age, correcting it is nearly impossible. It is a dangerous habit and whoever owned him when it started should've corrected it or found an experienced person who could correct it.
