I'm taking a week's vacation this year to ride a large part of the New River Trail in Virginia.  I am looking for a horse camp or cabin/stable to rent for the week as close to the trail as possible.  I have found Hungry Horse East and Iron Mountain Horse Camps (both in Ivanhoe) but those camps will require that I trailer my horse 30 to 45 minutes each way to the day parking lots on the trail.

Does anyone know of any other horse camps or cabins/stables that are available for rent in the area?  I am interested in staying in the town of Fries, Galax, Poplar Camp, Allisonia, Draper or Pulaski or any other point on (or very near) the trail.

Any suggestions?

There is a place called Jubuilee park it is near Ivanhoe and on 94 and right on the New River trail. It is ran by the fire dept. I think. There also used to be a place called J&K quarter horses but I think it is gone now.

Second Jubilee Park! Love it there. For after the ride, don't forget your bathing suit, float, and lunge line to tie yourself to the shore so you don't float away. heaven!
