I just washed the trailer and then spot washed the black streaks with diluted Purple Power. I got about 90% of the streaks off but now when I rubbed the trailer white powder is coming off on my fingers. I rinsed it well. I want to wax it but it is going to storm and I don't want to be caught in the middle of it. Is this normal or is the damage to the paint already done?

If white powder was transfered to your finger, the paint has been damaged by the sun's UV. Waxing the surface removes some of the damaged film and helps protect the underlying paint. Using a wax that has a high UV protector, will lengthen the life span of your paint.

Purple Power is great, but a little too caustic for the enamel coated aluminum. We have found a product called Fast Ball, which is basically pine oil and ether, that takes the black streaks off easily and does NOT dull the enamel finish.
My tractor's engine was coated with grease, arena dust, mowing debris, etc, about five year's worth. I sprayed it with Purple Power and all that grease and gunk rinsed right off with the pressure of a cold water hose. That speaks for the strength of Purple Power. However, even this will not get those manure stains off the rubber wall liner !

Manure stains you say....power washer. Before we bought one, I scrubbed and scrubbed and when everything was dry, it looked liked I didn't even touch it. I love that power washer.
