I recently had some PMs about caulking and resealing a trailer roof. Inadvertently, the messages were deleted before I could reply. The questions asked, were what type of Sikaflex should be used as a roofing sealant.
Sikaflex 291 is a very good product and it can be purchased at some big box stores or marine suppliers:
3M 5200 is also an excellent product, not only being a good sealant, but a structural adhesive as well. The Sikaflex 295UV is also a sealant / adhesive, but is used primarily as an adhesive for bonding. It has a higher UV protection than some sealants.
Sorry I didn't reply personally to the PMs. I'll try to be more careful with my house keeping computer duties in the future.

Gard - Thanks - Someday I would like to meet you in person - There are very few men I know that admit they have made a mistake --- let alone post it on a forum !! I have to agree with crowleysridgegirl - You be the man!
More questions:
I had a chance to look on line for that product (BTW - Jamestown distrbuting has free shipping today / tomorrow so good time to buy :)
Should I be buying white, or is black a better choice?
How many tubes should be used?
Any tips for how thick to apply? I was looking on youtube for a video to show me how.. but couldn't find one.
Another question - It appears there is leakage around the window by our kitchen table, as the covering on the wall board around it is starting to wrinkle. I am assuming that means I need to caulk around the window as well... right? Would sikaflex 291 be the right product for that as well?
FYI Jamestown distrbuting has free shipping on orders over $50 today / tomorrow so good time to buy :)
