My daughter show primarily western but on occasion she will show in an English class at an open or 4H show so we always keep an English saddle on the trailer but it never fails that at each stop I am picking it up and getting it back on the saddle rack.  It always seems to slide off to the side.  Any suggetions for keeping it put?

bungees should work. I would put a thin cover over the saddle to prevent scuffs from the bungees.

Bungees are a good idea but you could try a non-slip scatter rug pad.  They're waffled, 4'x4', can be cut in half and cheap.  You can pick them up at Home Depot or Lowes. They stick well to the saddle liner and full plastic racks.

We put ours in quilted saddle bags and stack them on the floor of the DR... Saddle rack is now mounted on the wall in the barn...!!

About the bungee cords I would add, I use two of them, hook them together behind the saddle rack, then run them under the flap of the saddle on both sides and hook each end on the front of the saddle rack itself. Putting them under the flap gives more security and does not scuff the saddle itself.

I have a treeless saddle that will fall off if I don't bungee it down. I use a very thin bungee and fasten it to the d rings on the front, running it under the rack. Stays put like a champ.
