You know you can't really blame that on the dust, and it was far from being an accident....

Wonder what kind of hitch that was in the truck of on the trailer...?  Looks like it may have been one of the air or timbren cushion hitches of some sort...  Appears to have ripped it in half. Gooseneck looks like it held up well, have seen them bent backward.

did you look at all the photos from the accident? Some of the 18 wheelers were totaled. The horse trailer faired pretty well considering the other vehicles. Back of horse trailer looked to have been rear ended

I live about 20 miles from where the wreck happened and I can tell you it was so dirty you could not see over 50' for most of the afternoon.I was looking at the pics and am wondering if anybody has better ones of the hitch and even the truck bed, I would like to know what broke and why, it appears that the hitch on the trailer held up real well and I would have thought that it might have been the one that would have broken, but it sure shows you that you get what you pay for in a trailer guess I will keep my C & C forever.

Yes, you do get what you pay for....these trailers carry valuable cargo and it's times like these that I want my horses in a Platinum, Elite, C&C or old 4-Star....
