I have an older Trailett two horse trailer that is made with aluminum sides which are not painted but covered with clear coat.  I would like to polish the trailer the same way that older Air Streams trailers are being refurbished.  Check out the process on YouTube.  What is the safe way to remove clear coat from aluminum?  Thanks for your help.

You can use an automotive or aircraft paint stripper to remove the clear coating.

You will then spend an inordinate amount of time, labour and materials, in an attempt to make a four wheeled mirror. Be very aware of your goals and aptitude before you begin.

Then ask yourself what the value of the trailer is worth, when you're done.
