My Reese gooseneck hitch that fits the fith wheel rails in the bed of my truck was stolen while the truck was in for repairs. Is there any type of lock available to lock the hitch to the rails? I didn't know if you could substitute a hitch lock for one of the pins? Thanks!

Not specifically familiar with that hitch and its retainer pin size, but I do the same thing locking the head of my B&W 5th wheel hitch by using a modified square receiver lock. Measure the diameter and length of the pins you now use, and compare them with the pin available. One lock on each rail on opposing corners should be sufficient. You can look on the Curtis website for available lock specs.

Looking at the Reese hitch manual, it looks like they are 1/2" pins - but measure to make sure. The Curt website for locking pins is: http://www.curtmfg.com/Category/32/Hitch%20Locks There are local suppliers who carry their products - Like Menards - Take one of your pins with. It looks like your pins are installed from the inside out on your hitch, which would leave the lock on the outside so you can access the key. One on each rail - opposite corners - should deter easy removal.

Yes, that's the hitch that was removed. Luckily, it turns out that a technician took it out and put it in a storage trailer, so I got it back. Unfortunately, I'd already ordered a new one and now have to return it. I'm going to buy some hitch locks today. I just wasn't sure if I could use them since they're designed for bumper hitches. Thanks everyone.
