We just bought a 2012 Dodge 350 with the integrated trailer brakes. This may be a stupid question but I can't find the answer in the manual. When I"m driving, the digital read out is always a number 2. When I apply the brakes it goes up to 3 or 4. My question is shouldn't the digital number always be 0 when towing a trailer and not applying the breaks? My old trailer box didn't have a numeric reading unless I was actually using the brakes. Thanks

My Ford does't show the non-braking read out. But does show the braking pressure when I apply the brakes. I can set it at 0 if I choose.

the EVIC display will show the brake setting and when the brakes are applied it will show you % that you are braking.
