I have a new to me 2014 Ram2500 4x4 Cummins diesel. Stock set up has 18" rims, bigger tire, and roughly 4-5" taller than my previous 1996. Also has roll up Truxedo cover that has rails that add a bit to truck rails, love that cover don't want to take the rails off every time use the trailer.Bed rails and tailgate are about 60" high It's too tall for my 2006 S&S stock GN. I looked into blocking axles, but think I'll sell it invest in something newer aluminum.I've been comparing GN clearance heights on couple different brands, based on 2014 and up : Adam, Exiss, Featherlight, Blue Ribbon. These are Trailers available near me on a dealer lot. I think I really like the Adam, I've seen them beat on, in and out of harness racing tracks in the north...they seem to hold up, take heavy use well. I'm not familiar with the framing but, seem similar to 4star runabout models...but maybe I'm over estimating that:-) Yes I know how good a 4star is LOL :-)Looks like if we talk dead level level ground the GN deck rails are avg. 64". IME, a little upward attitude at the nose 3-4" by extending stinger isn't going to make a 3H slant total length 24+ ft ride too nose high. It looks like if do that plus add a stinger with the offset to the rear, can gain some more because it moves that highest point in the angle bit further back.Welcome any suggestions and working set ups others with the 2014 Ram are using.trying to do my home work to get this right. Years ago with my 1996 I got over a saw horse grade turning and peeled up my bed corner like a tin can....do not ever want to do that again!!!Absolutely love the truck, so nice, ride and handling awesome, 22mpg diesel....the GN height issue is a bummer!!!!

I actually live where the extra ground clearance is handy..But it is a pita to sort for a new GN.The Ford trucks always seemed to be the tallest, Chevy GMV shortest.Does anyone know what the avg rail height manufacturers turning Trailers out GN nose at? It seems like 2014+ from well known names, 3slant on 26 rims w 2x5200lb axles deck and rails set dead level at 64" +/- an inchThe Frontier and Homesteader added 6" to riser wall making their stock GN deck height about 70"...... But I'm not into the light duty. Of their build...no offense to anyone.

If you order a trailer, many all aluminum brands can make the gooseneck wall as high as you need for good clearance, it will also add to the resale of your trailer. Some brands call it a 4" rise to clear the 4x4 trucks, but sadly the stinking truck makers haven't figured out that people use these trucks too! I on the other hand put a flat bed on mine, all my back problems can be avoided by simply just reaching level into the bed and not messing with the factory bed. I won't bang my head crawling under the gooseneck during hitching!
