Where can I find information on what used trailers prices? Is there a 'blue book' for horse trailers?

I've found a 2002 2-H Featherlite w-a dressing room. The seller's price is $8500 [Michigan]. Sound right?

Thanks.

Try that link. If that doesn't work you can go to www.nada.com

Some brands are listed under RV's, then travel trailers and 5th wheels.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately it looks as though all the nada listings are for trailers with living quarters. The one I'm trying to price just has a dressing area.

Are you familiar with any other reference sites?

I know of no "blue book" of trailer values.  The best way to find out if a price is about right is check sites like Horsetrailerworld and find some prices on comparable trailers and see how they match up.  If you know a dealer, he may be able to help.  The problem is that there are so many variables.  How wide is the trailer, how tall, padded or not, floor mats?  How's the floor?  Hows the roof, and hitch, and brakes,  is there any damage?  are the axles bent?  etc. etc.   Anyway, you get the drift.  I guess the fact is a trailer is worth what you can get for it.   I know, thats not much help.

And...........When you finally buy that perfect trailer, don't tell anyone what you paid for it. One person will tell you that you must have stolen it and the next person will tell you that someone saw you coming and ripped you a new one! Good luck, just don't settle for what you can get by with. Buy a little extra, if you need a 2h then buy a 3h, you can always use that extra stall.

Thanks. Your points are well taken. I've learned a lot about horse people's opinions since I bought my first horse. Geez. They raked me over the coals!!!

That would have been around $12-$13 new, so that's
probably a fair price.

.... IF you wanted to buy a Featherlite ...
