Looking for independent source that compares and rates all makes of trailers out there (ie:  Consumer Reports)  Anyone know a website or other source?  Trying to sort through all the advertising and determine best quality, best built, best resale value trailers.

I just don't think there is a Best Trailer out there anymore than there is a best car. As far as I am concerned CR isn't the be-all- end -all final word when it comes to compairison reports. Its just a guide. Your tastes and needs can differn from what the editors at CR are looking for. Some thing with trailers ( or anything I suppose) Asking questions is a good start but for everyone who loves their Sundowner, you'll get another group that doesn't. I just figure out what I need from my trailer- how often will I use it, how long am I hauling, what do i want in comfort then start looking. I am personally satisifed with the quality of my Exiss.

I think it's kind of like women, you got to look at a few different ones to see what model is going to suit you the best. Then you ask a few questions and you'll even get a better understanding of those models. But unlike women I don't think you need to go around kissing any trailers, I would recommend feeling the ones you like though.

Kissing trailers aside.... It would be nice to have a site that listed in table format things like thickness of alumminum/steel, distance between beams, inside/outside dimensions, weights, latch types, window types etc... of the different brands. That way you could just go down the table and look for the features that are important to you, what ever they are, and not have to kiss alot of frogs to find the prince your looking for.:-)
