How hard are vinyl decals to remove?  What kind of mess does it leave on your paint job?  thanks

I had vinyl graphics on my truck and I had to pull part of them off.It didn't affect the paint at all. But I guess it would depend alot on how long they have been on the vehicle...

Softening the glue with a hot air gun first, makes pulling the decals off much easier. You can try bug remover to lift the remaining glue after the decal is removed. If this is done on bare aluminum, acetone works well to remove the glue.

I use my wife's hair dryer (blow gun) to remove decals.  Put the heat on the edge and start working your way down or across the decal and it slips right off and does not leave any adhesive residue.  The oldest decal I have taken off was over two years old and no problems.

Getting the decal off won't be a problem the only problem you'll have is if it has been on there for a while it will leave what we call a shadow. What it is is where the paint on the rest of the trailer has been exposed to the sun and elements it fades while the paint under the sticker does not. After the decal is gone if you look at it just right you can see the outline of the sticker.
